Teddy stared at April, his heart beating so fast and so hard he thought it might break out of his chest. "April, I..." he began, his cheeks flushing as he trailed off. He took a moment to compose himself before starting over. "April, I....I love you," he spat out. "I fucking love you," he continued. "I'm fucking in love with you. I've been in love with you since freshman year." By the time he'd finished, his entire face was flushed a strange, crimson color and his hands were shaking. "And I know you're way too good for me and I'm a fucking terrible influence for you, so I understand that I'll never have a chance with you," he said, his voice threatening to break. "I just...I just need you to know I'm in love with you."
